Trampa is a Colombian band with members of Atroz Ciudad, Pellejo, Warsystem, Social Horror and Subkontrol. Their sound is characterized by hardcore music with a strong punk attitude, made of short bullets full of noisy rage and vivid fury.
Their demo EP Muerte Es La Paz is a nine-track effort with a run time well below 20 minutes. If you expect long structures and comlicate3d songwriting, think again: this is barbarian hardcore music used as a big fuck you toward the world. Guitars sound as chainsaws, drums are a pounding experience, the coarse voice is more a desperate ranting than singing.
Trampa is the first track, but it would be better to talk about episodes of a common theme. No bullshit, no compromises: looping guitars, destructive drum beats, enraged shouted vocals guide use in Trampa's world. Perido shows an even more pounding nature with its strong oldschool vibe full of cymbals and cutting sounds, while Muerte delivers almost epic riffs and hypnotizing refrains.
Vida is a fast storm delivering a caustic wind which cannibalize our flesh in a second, and Miseria gives us a punk mantra with a ribellious nature and the usual motifs. If you know your hardcore-punk, you know what to expect from this EP.
A nice start for the project, a no-compromise act dwelling in the purest hardcore sound without any kind of embellishment. If tyou are up for pury fury, this is for you.
